陳姿君就讀中山女高時，接受DCI (Drum Corps International)與Concert Band的訓練而啟蒙打擊樂，1999自台北市立師範學院音樂學系獲學士學位，2002自Shepherd School of Music, Rice University, USA獲演奏碩士學位。主修打擊樂，曾師事黃昭明、吳達倫、陳哲輝、Richard Brown、李守信諸位老師，目前師事宮岡攝老師。副修鋼琴曾師事方美琪、沈珍伶、郭育秀、張楟諸位老師。主要興趣在管絃樂、室內樂合奏、拉丁樂與爵士樂、手鼓。
Ellen Chen started taking percussion lessons in high school when she joined the marching and concert band programs. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts in 1999 and a Master’s Degree in Music in 2002, majoring in percussion performance. She performs actively as a timpani/percussion player, and is fairly skilled in pandeiro, djembe and oriental-dance riq/darbuka playing.
